Beautiful Wings Birthday

My last and final stamp camp card from the Jan 8th stamp camp I held. I actually gave this card away already. I gave it to one of my best friends.

I found a very similar card like this in the Paper Crafts magazine I was looking at. I think people are just so darned creative. So I duplicated using the items I already had. I used my Big Shot and the Top Note die in More Mustard and Perfect Plum cardstock colors. I cut the More Mustard piece down and adhered it to the Perfect Plum piece. But before I did that I used the Pretty Petals background stamp in Perfect Plum Ink onto the CS. Then I did my fake bow again using the Whisper White Organza Ribbon. Next I stamped my greeting with Ruby Red ink from the Sincere Salutations stamp set. Finally - my favorite part - I used the new Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die with Ruby Red and More Mustard Cardstock to create the different sized Butterflies. I just attached them to the card and Voila! A new masterpiece. My friend really loved the card. I'm so glad. I think I'll have to make more of those again.

Here's a close up of the Butterflies. So that wraps up all of the stamp camp cards. Hopefully I will be back again soon to post more cards but it may not be for a while. I have roughly 8 weeks left of school and my Masters Degree will be complete. Then I'll have more time to play!

Bermuda Bay Birthday

I went super simple again on this card.
Whisper White is the base with a piece of 4" square Pattern Designer Series Paper in Bermuda Bay. I stamped the cupcake image in Basic Black from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. The greeting from the same set is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink. I use the Ice brads and the 1/8" hole punch on a strip of Bermuda Bay CS. I colored in my cupcake with So Saffron, Lovely Lilac and Basful Blue markers. I never purchased the In Color markers so I used a blender pen and Bermuda Bay ink to color in the rest of the cupcake. Then I added 5/8" Polka Dot Bermuda Bay ribbon to the cupcake piece creating the fake bow look. To make the fake bow - just take two pieces of ribbon. Attach the first ribbon straight across but don't put adhesive under the ribbon on the front of the card piece. Then slide the second piece under and tie a knot. I love the fake bows! So easy! And of course I used dimensionals to add the cupcake to the card front.

Flower Fancy Birthday

I just LOVE how simple and yet beautiful this card turned out.
The card base is Pale Plum. I tied a piece of 5/8" Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon at the top. Then I stamped my flowers in Rich Razzleberry and Pale Plum with outlines in Rich Razzleberry and Basic Black. The flower petals are in Certainly Celery and Always Artichoke with outlines in Always Artichoke and Basic Black. I stamped them on Whisper White CS and then cut them out. I simply adhered the two to the base of the card and then used dimensionals to add the last flower. I used the glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the center flower to give it more pop.
Here you can see the glitter better. One of my favorite cards. The greeting is from the On Your Birthday stamp set and I stamped it in Rich Razzleberry ink.

Thank You Fox and Friends

So the clear stamps continue! I knew my stamp campers would only get the opportunity to use clear stamps if I had them out so I made sure I used them on at least two cards.
Here I used Cameo Coral for the base layered with Tempting Turquoise at the bottom using the Eyelet Border punch. Then I took a piece of Certainly Celery CS and ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. Finally I used Very Vanilla Cardstock to stamp my three critters in the matching ink colors to the cardstock I used. I stamped them a 2nd time on scrap pieces and then cut them out and attached them with dimensionals. I used the paper piercer and mat pack to add my poked holes and used the Sincere Salutations stamp set for the Thanks So Much greeting in Cameo Coral.

Heart Monkeys

So I just have to say I am LOVING the new clear stamp options!!! I was able to use the clear mounted stamps so easily and now wish that all my stamps were clear mount. Sigh! But that just means I'll have to purchase more going forward - mu ha ha ha ha ha!
So this card was super easy and really fun. I used the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die here. I have a close up photo below of the heart. The card base is Read Red. I used the Big Shot and the Top Note die for in Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. I trimmed the edge off the WW CS piece and stamped my monkeys from the Fox & Friends stamp set in Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa ink. I used a dimensional to attach my heart. Then I used the Love You Much set again for the scalloped stamp and the Hugs & Kisses image. I stamped it in Chocolate Chip on Creamy Caramel CS and stamped the same stamp again in Chocolate Chip ink on a piece of Real Red scrap paper and used the 1" punch to cut out the center. I used the scalloped circle punch to punch out the Creamy Caramel piece. I took a piece of 1" Chocolate Chip double-stitched grosgrain ribbon and just adhered it to the card. I added my scalloped piece with a dimensional.
Here's the close up of the embosslit die. I LOVE this die.

Square Melon Mambo...

Gosh - I am soooo bad at posting. So I am making myself sit at the computer right now until I get the next 6 posts written up for the rest of the cards I had everyone make at my last stamp camp. So here's the next one...
This is Melon Mambo In Color cardstock for the base sized 4 1/4 by 8 1/2 folded in half. Then a 3 3/4" square piece of Pretty In Pink followed with a 3 1/2" square piece of the Melon Mambo Patterns Designer Series Paper. I have another smaller square piece of Pretty In Pink on top of that too. The big Heart is stamped in Basic Black ink on Melon Mambo CS from the Love You Much stamp set. I used the Rose Red marker to color the edge of the heart and the circles inside the heart too. I also used my White Signo gel pen to color in the petals of some of the flowers. I cut the heart out and befor I attached it to my card I added the 5/8" Melon Mambo Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon. Then my heart went on with dimensionals and I used the Teeny Tiny Wishes set for the Happy Valentine's Day greeting in Melon Mambo Ink on Pretty In Pink CS. I used the Word Window Punch to cut out the greeting and then attached it to the heart.
Here's a close up shot. I really like how cute this turned out.

Valentine's Day 3-D Heart

As I was prepping for my Stamp Camp this past Friday - I was getting some inspiration from the latest Paper Crafts magazine and saw this 3-D heart. I knew right away I could duplicate it. So this was what I came up with.

The base of the card is Real Red cut to 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" and folded in half. I took a piece of Whisper White CS roughly 4 1/4" x 5 1/4" and stamped the birds holding the hearts from the stamp set: The More the Merrier. I colored in the hearts with a Real Red marker. I used the scalloped edge punch at the bottom and then adhered it to my card. I added the 1 1/4" double stitched Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon at the top. I took a piece of 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" Basic Black CS and used two new punches: Sale-A-Bration - Scallop Trim Border and Occasions Mini - Scallop Trim Corner. You start with punching the 4 corners first and then centering the border punch. I adhered it to the front of the card and then my piece of the Whisper White CS. I stamped "Cherish" from the Warm Words set in Basic Black. To make the 3-D heart I used the Sizzlits 4-Pack: Hearts Set and punch out 3 of the same heart with the Big Shot. I used the paper trimmer and bone folder to make score lines down the center of the heart to make it easier to fold in half. Then I attached all three together and adhered it to the card.
Here is a view looking down at the card to see how the heart sticks out.
And another close up of the heart. I'm loving this card. I just may have to make a bunch of these for Valentine's cards this year!!!
